Media Letter, June – December 1990
Media Letter is the newsletter I started in June 1990 while I was writing my San Francisco Examiner column and ghostwriting on then smokin’-hot Prodigy for Stewart Alsop. John Doerr was my first subscriber — when I told him what I was doing, he wrote me a check on the spot. “Word of Mouth” was a gossip column.
