     technology since around 1984.  
     i still haven't gotten around to 
     updating much of this site since
     i launched it in march 2000, nor
     have i uploaded five years worth of 
     columns from the (former) 'monarch
     of the dailies,' the san francisco 
     examiner (starting from november 
     1986).   
     
     but i will.  i swear it.  
     
     also still trying to find time 
     to redux the seriously unattractive 
     ftp pages under the 'work' link, 
     above.  they're temporarily 
     permanent, apparently.
      
                
     the hybrid vigor institute is
     the nonprofit foundation i started
     in march 2000, where i spend (and enjoy) 
     every nanosecond of my time these days.  
     which is why this site has been virtually
     untouched since then.
